How it all started
Ken and Pam Crawley and their two boys emigrated from the UK to New Zealand in 2006. As a friend had a holiday home in Waipu, it seemed like a good place to start.
The boys quickly settled into Waipu primary and Bream Bay college so it seemed they were here to stay. Having trained and taught karate for some 30 years in the UK, Ken always wanted his own club and Waipu seemed the perfect place to create one as there had never been a karate club in the area before.
