The Bream Bay Bridge Club is a great place to socialise and meet new people

The Bream Bay Bridge Club had its small beginnings in the 1960’s when a group of predominantly farmers used to meet at various homes to play 500. It was at one of these meetings that it was suggested they learn to play bridge. In 1977 the Bream Bay Bridge Club was officially established.

The bridge club has had various homes over the years. Today you will find us at the newly renovated Coronation Hall in The Centre at Waipu. We would like to invite anyone interested in playing bridge to join our friendly club. It is a great place to socialise and meet new people.

Once again to celebrate Waipu’s 2016 Tartan Month, the Bream Bay Bridge Club and The Royle Epsom Bridge Club co-hosted a bridge tournament in the newly decorated Coronation Hall, Waipu.

After morning tea was served, David Moon gave us a treat by piping in the beginning of the tournament. The day was enjoyed by all and everyone dressed in their tartans in the spirit of the day.
